Our Services Offered:
- The full groom - this includes a good brush, nail clipping, ear plucking (if necessary), ear and eye cleaning, bath and gland expression, blow dry and styling (clipping or scissoring)
- Bath only - This includes a good brush, nail clipping, ear plucking (if necessary), eye and ear cleaning, bath and gland expression and a blow dry.
- Bath and tidy – this is ideal for an in between grooms tidy up or a special treat. It involves all of the services that a bath includes plus trimming around the feet and/or eyes.
- De-matting*
- Puppy and nervous dog trials (getting them used to the grooming experience) – see below for more details.
- If you are going away and your dog is boarding in Orchard Kennels, have them groomed for when you get back
- Rabbit and guinea pig grooming – this involves a basic health check, brush, nail trim, wash and dry

The grooming process.
Each dog is seen one to one and are groomed straight away so there is no waiting around.
First, they are prepared for a bath and this involves brushing, ear hair plucking and nail trimming, ear and eye cleaning etc
Once they have been bathed they are dried with a dryer that is quick and the least stressful (we don’t use drying cabinets).
Finally your dog is clipped/scissor trimmed to how you like it.
Puppy/nervous dog trials.
We offer a free 15 minute* puppy session (once they have had their vaccinations) which involves some coat brushing, nail trimming and lots of play and fuss.
It is important to get puppies used to the grooming experience because once they are older, exploring new things can be a bit scary. The session will help them to feel at ease when being groomed for the rest of their lives.
The same applies to nervous dogs. They too can have a free 15 minute session* where they can get used to me, the environment, and possibly some minor grooming.
